History , religion and folkore has very close relationship to understand belief system of any muslim community. Folk lore is not some thing written but it is oral in form and tradition.
There is common affliation of different dishes and creation of fruits for different reasons. Old age people ( male and female) narrate different stories about things , animals, names, personalities or food stuff.
In sindh Banana is called Kaela ( in sindhi language). There is popular folk tale narrated by hindu about Hazrat Awais karni ( sahibi during Holy prophet) . When holy prophet Mohammad ( PBUH) lost his one or two teethes in battle . Awais karni broke his all teethes. They he faced so much difficult to test other hard fruits, so Allah creates banana for him and later on all teeth less people got benefits.
Now you observe rationally that foklore in sindh specially has nothing to do with religious dimensions but it is just custormary thing because that story about creation of banana and relating to Holy prophet and narrated by Hindu shows the popularity of narration without religious meanings.
There are countless folk stories which needs to be documented for the sake of documenting oral literature and tradition.
